Walking around on the Goree Island streets is not enough if done just during the day. The atmosphere is quiet and empty of local Goree inhabitants that leave the Island to work in Dakar during the day time. Come back in the night time, to a Goree that is empty of tourists and all the non-locals who cheat tourists everyday with their wares. A long walk on the streets and the Castel, while the sun is rising, is a must for everyone. Simply, one of the best things to do when in Dakar.

Participant Guidelines
This day tour cannot be operated for big groups with ten people being a maximum. You shall wear decent clothes; no shorts, especially for women, and not a very tourist-like look. Discretion should be shown while carrying and using your camera. Showing off expensive clothes, equipment, jewellery or the like may be considered as an insult to the rather poor economic conditions that people have to deal with here.
