Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
We are committed to spreading West African culture and making it popular. We promote a Gueuweul, Kemo Soundioulou "Kandara" Cissokho, who was living in extremely poor conditions with his entire family, and made festival managers meet him and supported his being invited to a festival in France. There, he successfully showcased his art in other festivals and was able to provide decent living conditions for his family thanks to his art. The Gueweul art comprises a singing chant and a playing instrument. We try to promote others through an association that we have created, with Kandara Cissokho as President.
