We will introduce you to the typical shops: hairdresser's salon, tailor's atelier, "vulganisateur", mechanist and private home bars. You will share moments with the big voice mama preparing the traditional small rolls, cakes, pancakes and others. You may also be invited by her granddaughter to help her carry and sell the wares in the street. Come inside the heart of Dakar’s daily life!

Participant Guidelines
This day tour cannot be operated for big groups with six people being a maximum. You shall wear decent clothes; no shorts, especially for women, and not a very tourist-like look. Discretion should be shown while carrying and using your camera. Showing off expensive clothes, equipment, jewellery or the like may be considered as an insult to the rather poor economic conditions that people have to deal with here.
Other Disclosures
If you wish to be part of a traditional or a cultural family event, such as a wedding or a baptism, you can ask us beforehand to look for one. Though we can’t guarantee it, we will look at your dates, and then ask our friends and families if they know of an event during your stay. You will then be welcomed in and treated as an honourable guest, so don't forget to bring along a small present with you.
